Welcome to the Tourette Fishing Blog. On this blog we are going to continually update reports from our many fishing trips, highlight points of interest, trip and gear specials as well as any points of interest to the fly fishing community. With the 2010
Tanzania Tiger fishing season completed in November 2010, it seems appropriate to start the blog with a picture of a decent Mnyera River Tigerfish. This fish took a natural brush fly, fished tight to the structure and on a fast retrieve. Late in the season the fish seemed to prefer more natural colours, with the water level dropping, and the water clarity increasing. Earlier in the season with lower clarity, the tigers with reduced abilty to use their eye sight, had to use more of their other sensory capabilties. In these early season conditions the fish prefered darker colours, and flies that had the abilty to push alot of water.
I hope that you enjoy this blog, and find it informative and entertaining. We look forward to your feedback.
